Next Friday, June 7, we will celebrate a cellar tasting at the Hotel Boutique Edelweiss by Celler Carles Andreu
On this occasion we will taste a range of very personalized cavas among which we can taste Brut, Semi Seco and Rosado.
This winery, since the eighteenth century has been dedicated to the cultivation of the vine. Keeping in his family file, the purchase document of Mas del Celdoni de Forès, 1781.
At present, the family owns some 80 hectares of vineyards in the Conca de Barberà, where the traditional varieties of the region are mainly grown (macabeo, parellada and drilling).
These vineyards are located between the municipalities of Pira, Forès, Sarral, Solivella, Barberà de la Conca and Montblanc. In 1991, Carlos Andreu, continuing the family tradition, started up the cava that bears his name. It was a small cellar located in the village of Pira and located in the old manor house of Cal Celdoni, taking advantage of the wine presses where formerly the fermentation of the wines was done, respecting the turns and the architectural forms of the house, built in the year 1796.
This Friday we will be able to taste the line of cavas of this peculiar winery, with certainty we will enjoy an enlivened evening that in finishing the tasting we will be able to round up with a dinner in our restaurant.
